Introduction

I am responsible for the design and development of consumer products as a product designer. This position's responsibilities include enhancing existing product designs and reviewing functioning concepts introduced by rivals of comparable items in order to match their quality and performance.

"There was a product that appeared enticing, luxurious, portable, stylish, and simple. Everyone praised its beauty, but they purchased it for its simplicity.”

Tools Used

For my design and research process, I usually use the following tools;

  1. NOTION: I mostly use Notion for documenting and archiving my research. The documents are well-organized, and the collaborative workspace on Notion enables other team members to make real-time revisions and provide comments and feedback.
  2. FIGMA / ADOBE XD: Figma is a vector-based programme, which is where the magic occurs. On Figma, both low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs are made. Figma has enhanced collaboration capabilities that allow stakeholders to leave comments and even conduct a direct call (Figjam) without leaving the programme. This allows me to share my designs without exporting and sending each one separately. Adobe XD is more for singular and personal designs majorly because of the limited collaborative features available on XD.
  3. ILLUSTRATOR/VECTORNATOR: Depending on the available hardware (either my iPad or my computer), I can utilise either Vectornator or Adobe illustrator. Both programmes are excellent for producing and altering vector images. This is due to the fact that they are vector-based programmes, which allow for enormous scalability, particularly for making vector artworks.
